Narewka and its surroundings

We cooperate with two rental bike services in the vicinity of Narewka: in Janowo and Siemianowka where you can order a bicycle. You only need to send an e-mail or order by phone by telling us the number of bicycles, the date of the trip, your name and telephone. After the confirmation the bicycles will be waiting in the rental bike service at the established date. We also offer trips with our tour guide and meals during or after the tours. In case of necessity we secure the transport of bicycles. The trips are planed so that they end in the starting point. You can safely leave your car at the parking place near the rental bike service. Our suggestions are general and can be modified by taking your needs into consideration.

We offer following trips from Janowo near Narewka:

WRJ1: Small circular route
Route: Janowo – skladnica Szypulowa – Kosy Most – Gruszki – Narewka – Janowo 

You need to cover 18 km of the route. It is an easy trip up to 4 hours. We can discover:

  • history of Narewka ( visiting Jewish cemetery, Orthodox Church)
  • surrounding nature ( picturesque the Narewka River  and the River Braszcza Valleys and various types of plants and animals that can be found in this part of the Bialowieza Forest)

WRJ2: Average Circular Route
Route: Janowo – składnica Szypulewa – Kosy Most- Wolf Trail Wilderness – Zamosze – Masiewo I –Masiewo II – Olchowka – Guszczewina – Narewka – Janowo 

36 km of the cycle route is to be covered. It is a more difficult trip, which leads through the backwoods of the Bialowieza Forest  in some parts. During this tour you can observe:

  • a wolf in its natural environment
  • the Narewka Valley from the observation tower in Kosy Most
  • old tree stands
  • erratic boulder left by the glacier
  • well-preserved parts of pine forests and marsh woods of the Capercaillie Reserve
  • wooden architecture of the following villages: Masiewo I, Masiewo II, Olchówka, Guszczewina
  • Evangelical Cemetery from the 19th century in the village of Czoło

WRJ3: Big circular route
Route: Janowo- składnica Szypulewa – Kosy Most – Wolf Trail Wilderness – Zamosze – Masiewo I – educational path OTOP Masiewo – artificial lake Siemianowka – Lesna – Mikłaszewo – Narewka – Janowo 

You need to cover 45 km. It is a trip for persistent cyclists, which enables to become familiar with animals and various types of plants that can be found in the Bialowieza Forest. In addition to places which can be visited during the average circular route we also discover:

  • educational path OTOP with 300 – year – old pine trees and “enamoured trees”
  • ornithological observation platform in Maruszka
  • artificial lake Siemianowka- St. George Orthodox Church from the 18th century in Siemianowka
  • carpet handweaving show, traditional, regional dinner in agrotourism farm “Bobrowa Zagroda”
  • meadows with haystacks typical for the Narewka Valley landscape

WRJ4: Janowo -  Narewkowska Route- The Old Bialowieza- The European Bison Show Reserve – The Place of Power – “Under the Oaks” in Swinoroje – Janowo

During the trip:

  • through Narewkowska Road to the Old Bialowieza
  • The Royal Oaks and Lithuanian Princes Trail the trails consists of a several-hundred-year old oaks named after Polish kings hunting in the Bialowieza Forest
  • bonfire with sausages in the Old Bialowieza
  • the European Bison Show Reserve /tarpans, bisons, żubrońs – hybrids of bisons and domestic cattle,deer, wolves and boars/ ; later the Place of Power
  • ducational path “ Under the Oaks” in Swinoroje


WRJ5: Janowo – Lewkowo Stare – Waliczowka Valley- Janowo

During this trip:

  • we follow the channel of the Narewka River from the perspective of the road by bicycle
  • we visit St. Peter and Paul Orthodox Church
  • we admire The Waliczowka Valley and beavers lodges
  • return trip through the captivating route in the Ladzka Forest
